Removals across the London Borough of Hounslow
Best London Removals is based in Ruislip, a short run down the A312 or M4 from Hounslow, and the borough has been part of our regular working territory since 2011. House moves in Chiswick, flat relocations in Brentford's new riverside developments, office moves along the Great West Road, and man and van jobs across Feltham and Isleworth, we have handled them all.
Hounslow stretches along the Thames from Chiswick in the east to the boundary with Heathrow in the west, and few London boroughs pack in more variety. The eastern end around Chiswick is dense with Victorian and Edwardian terraces, garden squares, and riverside homes. The middle of the borough, Brentford and Isleworth, mixes period streets with one of the largest concentrations of new-build riverside development in West London. The western areas, Hounslow town, Heston, Cranford, Feltham, and Bedfont, are dominated by inter-war semis, post-war family housing, and newer estates, with strong links to Heathrow employment.
Terraced houses and purpose-built flats make up a large share of moves at the eastern end of the borough, while semi-detached family homes dominate further west. The Brentford regeneration corridor has added thousands of new apartments over the past decade, and moves in and out of these buildings come with their own access rules, which we plan for as standard.
Home removals, office relocation, or man and van, each planned around your specific property, access, and requirements across Hounslow.
Home removals in Hounslow
Hounslow's housing mix means no two home moves are the same. A four-bedroom Edwardian house in the Bedford Park conservation area, a new-build apartment at Kew Bridge with a booked goods lift, and a 1930s semi in Heston each need a different plan, team, and vehicle. We assess all of it before moving day.
About the London Borough of Hounslow
Areas we cover in Hounslow
We cover the whole London Borough of Hounslow. Below are the neighbourhoods we move in most regularly, with a note on typical property types and the access or parking considerations in each.
Chiswick (W4)
Chiswick is the busiest part of the borough for our teams, with a deep stock of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, the tree-lined streets of the Bedford Park conservation area, mansion blocks near Turnham Green, and riverside homes around Strand-on-the-Green and Chiswick Mall. Controlled parking covers most residential streets, so a suspension is usually needed, and the roads off Chiswick High Road can be narrow, with the cycleway along the High Road itself affecting where a van can stop. Our 2.1 m wide Maxi Mover vans handle the tighter streets comfortably. Period terraces here often have narrow hallways and staircases, which we plan for at the survey stage.
Brentford (TW8)
Brentford has been transformed by riverside regeneration, with thousands of new apartments built around the waterfront, Kew Bridge, and the Gtech Community Stadium area over the past decade, alongside the older terraced streets in the town centre. Moves in the new developments almost always involve a booked goods lift, a loading bay time slot, and building management notice, and we confirm all three before moving day. The older streets are more straightforward, though parking near the high street needs planning.
Isleworth (TW7)
Isleworth combines a historic riverside village around Old Isleworth and Syon Park with substantial residential areas of Victorian terraces, inter-war semis, and post-war estates. Access varies street by street, the older riverside lanes are tight, while the residential roads towards Osterley and Whitton are generally easier to work on. Controlled parking operates near Isleworth and Syon Lane stations, and we advise on whether your street needs a suspension when you book.
Osterley (TW7)
Osterley is a quieter, well-regarded residential pocket with a strong stock of 1930s semis and detached houses on wide, well-kept roads, close to Osterley Park and the Sky campus on the Great West Road. Access and parking are generally among the easiest in the borough, though homes here often carry larger volumes, lofts, garages, and garden storage included, so an accurate pre-move survey matters more than parking logistics.
Hounslow town: Central, East and West (TW3/TW4)
The town centre area carries the borough's densest mix of purpose-built flats, converted houses, and terraced streets, with three Piccadilly line stations serving the neighbourhood. Controlled parking zones operate across much of TW3, particularly near the stations and the high street, and a suspension is usually required for moves on permit-controlled streets. Flat moves near the centre can involve shared entrances and stair access, which we factor into team size.
Heston (TW5)
Heston is a largely residential area of inter-war and post-war semis with good-sized gardens, popular with families and well placed for the M4. Parking is generally more manageable than in the town centre, though streets near Heston's shopping parades and schools can be busy at peak times. Moves here are typically full family homes, and side access and garage contents are the usual points to confirm at the survey.
Cranford (TW5)
Cranford sits at the western edge of Heston, close to Heathrow, with a mix of semis, terraces, and smaller flat developments. Many moves here are connected to airport employment, including staff relocations. Roads are generally workable, though through-traffic on the A312 and towards the airport influences the best start time, and we plan routes around the peak flows.
Feltham (TW13/TW14)
Feltham has one of the most affordable and varied housing stocks in the borough, with post-war family houses, newer developments around the town centre, and a growing number of flat schemes near the station. It is a frequent starting point for families moving further out and for Heathrow-linked relocations. Parking is workable on most residential streets with planning, and the station area has controlled zones.
Hanworth (TW13)
Hanworth, at the southern edge of Feltham, offers post-war semis and terraces alongside greener pockets near Hanworth Park and the River Crane. Access is generally straightforward, with driveways and on-street loading available on most roads. Moves here tend to be family homes with steady volumes, well suited to a properly resourced two or three-person team.
Bedfont (TW14)
Bedfont is the borough's most westerly residential area, bordering Heathrow and Bedfont Lakes Country Park, with post-war housing, newer estates, and a strong rental market serving airport workers. Access is generally good, though airport traffic shapes the timing of any move here, and we schedule accordingly. Short-notice moves are common in the rental market, and we accommodate them where the diary allows.

Property access and building considerations
The variety of property types across Hounslow means access conditions vary considerably by area. Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Chiswick and Isleworth often have narrow hallways, tight staircases, and small rear gardens accessed through the house, all manageable with the right team size and protection, but worth planning properly. Inter-war semis in Heston, Osterley, and Cranford typically offer side access and driveways, with lofts and garages adding volume that a thorough survey will catch.
The new-build developments in Brentford, at Kew Bridge, and near Feltham station introduce a different set of considerations. Goods lift bookings, lift dimensions, loading bay time slots, building access windows, and management company notice requirements all need confirming in advance, and on some developments, the concierge requires proof of the mover's insurance before granting access, which we provide as standard. We ask about all of this during the assessment and build the relevant steps into the move plan.
testimonials
Highly recommend
Best London Removals is the best; they have lived up to their name. The guys turned up on time, introduced themselves and got cracking straight away without wasting time. They did a fantastic job and took caution with the very delicate and fragile things. They are very polite and respectful.

Excellent service
I've never seen anyone work so hard, so efficiently nor so speedily as these guys did - they just did not stop and were in complete control. Exactly what is needed at such a stressful time. Thoroughly recommend.

Professional, nice people
Filip and his team did an amazing job. Good communication, turn up on time, professional, no doggy/hidden charges whatsoever, even though they have to remove the balcony rail and hoist the sofa to the 2nd floor. Can't recommend more!

Quick tips for moving day
Ask for a pre-move visit
We can visit your property in advance or conduct a video survey to assess the volume of your move, plan the right team and vehicle, and estimate packing materials. We will also check access, stairwells, and parking, which is especially important for period terraces in Chiswick and for new-build flats in Brentford where the goods lift needs booking.
Book parking early
If your street falls within one of Hounslow's controlled parking zones, and much of Chiswick, Brentford, Isleworth, and the town centre does, apply for your suspension well before your move date. Last-minute applications cannot be processed, and having the van parked at a distance significantly slows the whole day down.
Prepare your appliances
Defrost the fridge freezer at least 24 hours before moving day, drain the washing machine, and secure any loose shelves or glass panels. This prevents leaks or damage during transport and avoids delays on the morning.
Pack a first-night bag
Set aside a bag with overnight essentials, toiletries, chargers, medication, keys, and basic kitchen items, before packing begins. Keep it with you on moving day so you are not searching through boxes at the end of a long day.
Do a final walkthrough
Before the van leaves, walk through every room, cupboard, loft hatch, shed, and garage. Hounslow homes, particularly the larger semis in Osterley and Heston and the period houses in Chiswick, often have more storage spaces than you remember on a busy day. A final walkthrough takes five minutes and avoids the cost and inconvenience of a return trip.
