Choose full packing, the kitchen and fragile items only, or any combination of rooms. Every item is wrapped and boxed with the right materials, and each box is labelled by room, so unloading and unpacking are organised.
Packing can be booked with our removal or on its own. Full packs are usually done the day before the move, larger homes over two or more days, and smaller packs on the morning of the move when time allows.

You only pay for the packing you need. Tell us which rooms and items you want us to handle and we plan the team and materials around it.
Full packing
We pack your whole home room by room, usually the day before the move, or over two or more days for larger homes.
Partial packing
We pack the rooms you choose, often the kitchen, artwork and mirrors, while you pack books, clothes and personal items.
Kitchen and fragile only
Glassware, crockery, ornaments and mirrors packed by us, so the delicate items are in safe hands.

What is included
How we pack and protect your belongings
The right material for every item, careful wrapping and clear labels, so everything arrives safely and is easy to unpack.
Careful wrapping
Ornaments, ceramics and decorative pieces are wrapped individually in acid-free tissue, packing paper or FormPack before they go into a box.
Fragile items
Glassware, crockery, mirrors and artwork get extra protection, with corner guards and fragile labels, and are never boxed with heavy items.
Furniture protection
Furniture is protected with moving blankets, Furniguard or Furnisoft wrapping, depending on the item, so it is ready to load.
Labelling and essentials
Every box is labelled with its room and contents, and your first-night essentials are kept to hand, not buried in the stack.

You receive a clear, itemised written quote, typically within 24 hours and valid for 30 days.
Packing day
Our team arrives with all the materials and packs room by room, wrapping fragile items individually and labelling every box.

Boxes are stacked safely and labelled, with your essentials kept aside, ready for the team to load.

When we pack, we bring all the materials on the day. Packing yourself? We can quote for materials and deliver them before your move, at a charge.
Boxes, paper and tape
Strong double-walled boxes in several sizes, packing paper and packing tape, with every box sealed and labelled.
Fragile protection
Acid-free tissue, bubble wrap, FormPack and corner guards for glassware, ornaments, mirrors and artwork.
Furniture protection

Unpacking
Unpacking at your new home
Add unpacking to your booking and we unpack at the other end too, so you can settle in faster.
Items in the right rooms
We unpack boxes and place items on surfaces in the right room, kitchen items in the kitchen, bedroom items in the bedroom.
Your layout, your way
We do not arrange cupboards, wardrobes or drawers, so everything goes exactly where you want it.
Packaging taken away
Once unpacking is finished, we take the packaging waste away, so you are not left with a pile of boxes.
Insurance and awards
Insurance, responsibility and peace of mind
Every move includes goods in transit insurance and public liability cover as standard, providing protection while your belongings are handled, loaded, transported and unloaded. Zero-excess cover is also available at an additional cost. Please let us know about any high-value or particularly delicate items in advance so we can arrange appropriate handling and discuss any specific insurance requirements.

Can I buy packing materials separately?
Yes. We can quote for boxes and materials and deliver them before your move, at a charge. Some customers buy materials from us and move themselves. See our packing materials.
When is the packing done?
Full packing is usually done the day before the move. Larger homes may need two or more days, and smaller packs can be done on the morning of the move when time allows.
Can I pack some items myself?
Yes, this is one of the most popular options. Many customers pack books, clothing and personal items themselves and ask us to pack the kitchen, glassware, artwork and mirrors.
Can I book packing without your removal?
Yes. Packing can be booked on its own, or with any of our removal services.
Do you pack fragile items differently?
Yes. Glassware, crockery, ornaments, mirrors and artwork are wrapped individually in acid-free tissue, bubble wrap or FormPack, with corner guards where needed. We never box fragile and heavy items together, and fragile boxes are clearly marked.
What if something is damaged?
Goods in transit and public liability cover are included on every booking. We use the right materials for each item to prevent damage in the first place.
Can you pack in bags instead of boxes?
Soft bags are fine for bedding, pillows and cushions. For everything else we recommend strong double-walled boxes, which stack safely in the van and protect what is inside.
Should I tape the bottom of boxes?
Yes. Tape the top and bottom of every box along the seam and edges, so the base cannot give way when boxes are stacked or carried.
Do you unpack at the new home?
Yes. We unpack boxes and place items on surfaces in the right rooms. We do not arrange cupboards, wardrobes or drawers, and we take the packaging waste away once unpacking is finished.
