Whether you are moving a room, a studio flat or a single large item, or collecting furniture, you get our own team and a 3.5-tonne Maxi Mover van, charged by the hour.
Time starts when we arrive at the collection address and ends when unloading is finished. There is no charge for the return journey, and stairs, furniture dismantling and help with packing are carried out within your booked time at no extra cost. Goods in transit and public liability cover are included on every booking.

Is it right for you?
Man and van works best for jobs that do not need the full planning of a home removal. If your move is larger, needs full packing or has difficult access, we will tell you honestly if a fixed-price home removal is the better fit.
Your boxes are packed and the furniture is ready to go, so you only need the manpower and a van.

What is included
Your team does all the carrying, loading and unloading, with the equipment and protection to do it safely.
Our team handles all the carrying, loading and unloading, so you do not need to lift anything yourself.
Sofas, white goods, wardrobes and awkward items are handled with the right equipment and moved safely.
Furniture is wrapped in moving blankets for the journey, and floors and door frames are protected where needed.
Beds, wardrobes and flat-pack furniture can be taken apart and rebuilt within your booked time. Tell us in advance so we bring the right tools.

How it works
Booking a man and van is quick. Tell us what needs moving and where, and we confirm the team, the van and the start time.
Send the collection and delivery addresses, your preferred date and what needs moving. A short WhatsApp video helps us suggest the right team size.
We confirm the team size, van, start time and hourly rate in writing, so you know exactly what to expect.
Your team arrives at the agreed time. Time starts on arrival at the collection address.
Once unloading is finished we confirm the total time and settle the booking at the agreed hourly rate, with no charge for the return journey.
Included in your time
Stairs, furniture dismantling and help with packing are carried out within your booked hours. They simply use some of the time, so the more that is ready before we arrive, the quicker the job.
If a few things still need packing when we arrive, we can help. It uses some of your booked time, at the same hourly rate. For a full pack, see our packing service.
There is no extra charge for stairs, several flights just take a little longer. If access is very difficult, we will advise if an extra person would save time.
Boxes, bubble wrap, paper and tape can be ordered in advance from our packing materials service, so everything is ready before your team arrives.
Man and van
Not every move needs a full-scale operation. If you are moving a small flat, collecting furniture, or handling a straightforward load you have packed yourself, our man and van service is the most cost-effective option. All prices below include VAT at 20%.

The minimum charge is a fixed fee that secures your team and vehicle for the time shown. If the move runs longer, extra time is charged at the hourly rate. The crew will keep you informed throughout, so there are no surprises.

Insurance and awards
Every move includes goods in transit insurance and public liability cover as standard, providing protection while your belongings are handled, loaded, transported and unloaded. Zero-excess cover is also available at an additional cost. Please let us know about any high-value or particularly delicate items in advance so we can arrange appropriate handling and discuss any specific insurance requirements.

By the hour, based on team size, with VAT included. Each team size has a minimum booking of 3, 4 or 6 hours, then the hourly rate applies. For bigger jobs, 4 movers with two vans is £150 + VAT per hour, with an 8 hour minimum. Time starts on arrival at the collection address and ends when unloading is finished. There is no charge for the return journey.
