Professional office removals across London
Relocating an office involves more than moving furniture and boxes. It requires careful co-ordination between your team, building management, IT systems, and a removal company you can actually rely on.
Best London Removals has been handling commercial relocations across London since 2011. As a member of the National Guild of Removers & Storers (NGRS), we work to independently recognised professional standards on every job, from a small studio move to a multi-floor office relocation.
Every office move we carry out is planned individually: fixed quote, agreed timescales, the right team and vehicle for your volume, and a single point of contact throughout. Our goal is to get your business back up and running as quickly as possible.
- Full packing, or fragile only if preferred
- Furniture dismantling and reassembly
- Professional wrapping and protection
- Fully insured, fixed-price quotes
What's included in our office removal service
From careful packing and furniture dismantling to secure transport and room-by-room placement, we take care of every stage of your move.

Planning and co-ordination
Every commercial relocation starts with a structured assessment, access at both locations, building rules, lift bookings, parking requirements, and IT considerations. We agree a clear move plan before any packing starts.
Packing and equipment protection
Professional-grade packing materials throughout: strong boxes, anti-static wrapping for IT equipment, protective blankets for furniture, and specialist materials for sensitive or high-value items. We pack what you need us to pack and work around what your team handles internally.
Furniture dismantling and reassembly
Workstations, desks, boardroom tables, storage units, and shelving are dismantled carefully, moved safely, and fully reassembled at the new location according to your floor plan.
Safe transport and floor plan setup
Every item is secured in the van for transport. At the destination, we unload and place items where you specify, following your floor plan, so your team can walk in and get to work.

Types of office move we handle in London
Whatever the size of your business or the complexity of your relocation, we have the right approach
Small office moves (1–15 desks)
Small office relocations are often the most time-sensitive, you need to be out of one space and operational in the next with minimal gap. We handle small office moves efficiently, typically in a single day, with a focused team and appropriately sized vehicle. Whether you're moving within the same building, to a new floor, or to a different part of London, we keep the process straightforward and cost-effective.
Medium office moves (15–40 desks)
Medium-sized relocations require careful sequencing, phased moves, IT equipment handled separately, furniture dismantled and reassembled to a floor plan. We plan these in detail, co-ordinate with your building management at both ends, and work around your preferred timescales. Many medium office moves are carried out over a weekend to minimise impact on the working week.
Larger commercial relocations
For larger offices, we provide a structured project approach: detailed pre-move survey, itemised quote, agreed move schedule, and a dedicated team that operates to a clear plan. We've relocated commercial offices, professional practices, creative studios, and commercial units across London. The same principles apply regardless of size: fixed price, agreed scope, clear communication throughout.
Internal moves and office reconfiguration
Not every office move involves a change of address. Internal decants, floor-to-floor moves, and workspace reconfigurations are a regular part of our work. We move furniture, equipment, and storage within your building safely and methodically, working around occupied areas and following any building access rules.
How we plan your office move
Whether you are moving locally within London or relocating further afield, we focus on careful handling, realistic scheduling, and smooth coordination from start to finish.

Access and building logistics
We start by understanding the access at both your current and new locations: floor levels, lift access and booking requirements, loading bays, delivery time windows, concierge or facilities management rules, and any restrictions on vehicle size or parking. Shared entrances, narrow corridors, server rooms, and controlled access points all affect how a move should be sequenced. Identifying these in advance means no surprises on the day.
Parking, loading bays, and building permits
Many London office buildings require advance booking of loading bays or have specific time windows for deliveries. On-street parking may require a suspension or permit. We handle these logistics as part of the planning process, advising what's needed and ensuring everything is in place before moving day.
Vehicle, team size, and timing
We allocate the right number of movers and the correct vehicle capacity for your job. Too few movers or an undersized vehicle causes delays and extends downtime. We base our allocation on your actual volume, access conditions, and agreed timescales, not the minimum that might get the job done.
Out of hours and weekend office moves
Many businesses cannot afford to move during working hours. Staff are present, clients are calling, and productivity cannot stop. We offer evening and weekend office relocations as standard, no premium surcharge for Saturday moves, so you can be packed up on Friday evening and operational in your new office on Monday morning.
We’re also flexible if your move needs to be phased: office moves that are done in stages over multiple evenings, or relocations where IT infrastructure needs to be moved separately from furniture and general items.
Whatever your schedule, we plan around your building’s access rules and agree start and finish times that work for your business.

IT equipment, computers, and servers
Computers, monitors, printers, and related equipment are packed using anti-static materials and purpose-designed boxes. Cables are labelled and bagged per workstation so reconnection at the new office is straightforward. For server rooms or complex IT environments, we work alongside your IT provider or manager, our role is the physical move; theirs is the technical setup.
We do not carry out IT disconnection or reconnection as part of the removal service. We transport equipment safely and position it where it needs to go.
Office furniture and workstations
Desks, chairs, pedestal units, boardroom tables, shelving, and storage units are wrapped and protected before loading. Items that need to be dismantled, workstation screens, height-adjustable desks, boardroom tables, are taken apart carefully, with all fixings kept labelled and bagged, and reassembled at the destination.
Full packing and partial packing options
We offer flexible packing arrangements depending on your internal capacity and timeline:
- Full packing service — we pack every workstation, kitchen, storage room, and shared area, typically carried out the day before the move
- IT-only packing — we handle the equipment that matters most; your team handles files and personal items
- Part-pack — we pack specific areas while you handle the rest
Moving day, how we manage the process
Expert packing, careful wrapping, and secure preparation to keep your belongings protected from collection to delivery

Safe loading and secure transport
On moving day, the vehicle is loaded methodically: equipment and high-value items first, furniture positioned to prevent movement, everything strapped and secured. Items are handled with the care appropriate to a commercial environment, quickly, efficiently, and without unnecessary noise or disruption.
Managing building access, lifts, and restricted areas
Office buildings often involve shared lifts, timed access windows, concierge sign-in procedures, and restricted movement in common areas. We work within all of these, co-ordinating with your facilities contact and building management to keep loading and unloading within permitted hours and areas.
Delivery, placement, and floor plan setup
At the new office, we unload and place items according to the floor plan or layout you’ve provided. Furniture is reassembled, equipment is positioned where it needs to go, and boxes are placed in the correct areas. Our aim is to leave the new space ready for your team to work in, not a staging area that still needs hours of sorting.

Insurance, responsibility, and peace of mind
Goods in transit and public liability cover
We carry comprehensive goods-in-transit and public liability insurance on every commercial move. Your office equipment, furniture, and contents are covered during handling, loading, transport, and unloading. For high-value equipment or specialist items, let us know in advance so we can plan appropriate packing and care.

Clear communication from first enquiry to completion
Office moves involve multiple stakeholders, the decision-maker, the office manager, building management at both ends, and your IT team.
We keep communication clear and consistent throughout, co-ordinating with whoever needs to be involved at each stage. If anything changes, a delayed lift slot, a parking issue, a change in access timing, you’ll hear about it immediately.

Questions & answers
Office removals FAQs
If you have a quick question before booking, these are the answers we’re asked most often. If anything is unclear, just call us or request a quote and we’ll talk it through.
How do you provide an accurate quote for an office move?
We assess volume, access, equipment type, distance, and timing requirements. This is usually done via a video survey, photos, or a site visit where needed. Once confirmed, we provide a clear, fixed quote.
Can you move offices outside normal working hours?
Yes, evening and weekend moves are available as standard, and this is how the majority of our commercial clients prefer to move. We plan around your building’s access rules and agree start and finish times in advance. If your building has specific time windows for removals, let us know early so we can confirm availability.
How do you handle IT equipment and computers?
We pack computers, monitors, and related equipment using anti-static materials and purpose-designed boxes. Cables are labelled and bagged per workstation. For server rooms, we work alongside your IT provider, our role is the physical move and placement; the technical disconnection and reconnection is handled by your IT team. We do not carry out IT setup as part of the standart removal service.
Do you handle confidential documents and files?
Yes, with care. Filing cabinets are moved intact where possible. Loose files are packed in sealed, labelled boxes and handled only as necessary for safe transport. We don’t carry out confidential shredding ourselves, but can advise on appropriate services if required.
Do you dismantle and reassemble office furniture?
Yes. Workstations, desks, boardroom tables, storage units, and height-adjustable furniture are dismantled where needed and fully reassembled at the destination according to your floor plan.
Are our office contents insured during the move?
Yes. Goods-in-transit and public liability insurance applies throughout handling, loading, transport, and unloading. For high-value or specialist equipment, please let us know in advance so we can arrange appropriate packing and cover.
How much does an office move in London cost?
Cost depends on your office size, volume, access conditions, distance, and whether the move is within or outside working hours. We give fixed written quotes after a proper assessment. As a rough guide, small office moves (1–15 desks, straightforward access) can be completed in a half to full day; larger or more complex moves require a site survey. See our price guide for more detail.
Can you move our office to a location outside London?
Yes. We handle office relocations from London to other UK cities and regions. The same process applies, fixed quote, pre-move survey, professional packing and transport. Contact us with your destination and we’ll confirm what’s involved and provide a clear quote.
Can you buy packing materials from you for our own packing?
Yes. We supply double-walled boxes, bubble wrap, tape, and protective materials. Useful if your team wants to pack workstation personal items internally before our team arrives for the main move.
